One-to-one A-Level and IGCSE tutoring, built on past papers
Short answer: Testlyn tutors Cambridge International A-Level and IGCSE Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Economics and Computer Science, one-to-one and online. Lessons follow the syllabus code the student is entered for and work through past-paper questions topic by topic, with mark-scheme marking. Tutors hold a PhD in Mathematics, a PhD in Computer Science, an MSc from TU Munich and an MBA.

Cambridge syllabuses change every few years. The tutor works from the code and year the student is entered for, not a generic course.
Past papers by topic
Questions are grouped by topic first, so a weak area gets ten questions in a row, and then mixed into full timed papers.
Marked to the mark scheme
Students lose marks on method and presentation as often as on content. Answers are marked line by line the way an examiner would.

Do you tutor Edexcel or AQA?
Our lessons are built around Cambridge International syllabuses. Much of the maths and physics content overlaps with other boards, so ask in the consultation and we will say whether it is a good fit for your board.
How early should A-Level tutoring start?
For most students, a term before the exam series is enough to work through past papers properly. Students who find the AS content hard benefit from starting in the first year of the course.
Is there practice between lessons?
Yes. The Testlyn practice bank has A-Level and IGCSE question sets that are marked on submission. Tutors set them as homework and go through the misses in the next lesson.
