One-to-one SAT tutoring, from tutors who scored 1500 to 1600
Short answer: every SAT tutor at Testlyn has an official score between 1500 and 1600, and our students' recent scores include 1510, 1520, 1530, 1550 and 1570. Lessons are one-to-one and online. The student first takes a full-length adaptive practice test (98 questions, 2 hours 14 minutes, scored 400–1600), and the plan is built from the questions they missed, by domain.

What one-to-one SAT tutoring looks like
Diagnostic first
A full-length test in the digital adaptive format. The report shows each of the eight content domains, so the tutor sees whether points are lost in Advanced Math, in Craft and Structure, or in timing.
A plan to the test date
Weeks to the test, domains in order, and a practice-test score each stage should reach. Students aiming at 1500+ spend most of the time on the hardest second-module questions.
Practice between lessons
Homework comes from a bank of question sets by domain and from full adaptive tests. Every set is marked on submission, and the tutor reviews the misses in the next lesson.
Who it suits
Aiming at 1400
Students who know the content but lose points to timing and question types. The work is mostly strategy and a steady rhythm of full tests.
Aiming at 1500 and above
Students already near 1450. The work is the last few questions in each hard module: complex algebra, data analysis under time, and the Reading and Writing questions where two answers both look right.
Questions about SAT tutoring
How good are your SAT tutors?
Each SAT tutor has an official SAT score between 1500 and 1600, taken from their College Board score report. Our Academic Head has taught SAT and IELTS for over ten years.
What scores have your students reached?
Recent students scored 1510, 1520, 1530, 1550 and 1570. The 1570 report shows 770 in Reading and Writing and 800 in Math. Score reports are on the results page. Results depend on the starting point and the hours put in, so we do not promise a score.
How many lessons does a student need?
It depends on the gap between the diagnostic score and the target, and on the weeks left. We set the number of lessons in the written plan after the diagnostic, and adjust it after each full practice test.
Do you teach the Digital SAT format?
Yes. Since 2024 the SAT is taken only on a computer, in two adaptive modules per section. Our practice tests follow that format and scale, so students practise the way they will sit the test.
How much does SAT tutoring cost?
We quote after the free consultation, because the fee depends on the number of lessons and the target. The consultation and the diagnostic test are free.
Free SAT practice
